Soldering, Brazing and Threading Practical is LIVE in the Shop

Students were at the school today with their instructor Lewis to perform a Soldering, Brazing and Threading practical. All students were excited to get hands-on experience as part of their Plumbing Level 1 technical training.

Students working on various stages of pipe fitting. These projects are to improve their soldering, brazing and threading skills.
This machine is called a power vise. This is a type of machine completely equipped and ready to cut, groove, thread, and ream pipe.
A tristand is designed for securing pipe which allows pipe fitters to assemble the piping project.
A student using an oxy-acetylene flame in order braze pipe joints.
